Target Specific and Long-Acting Delivery of Biopharmaceuticals Using Hyaluronic Acid Derivatives

چکیده
Statement of Purpose: Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a biodegradable, biocompatible, non-immunogenic, nontoxic, and non-inflammatory linear polysaccharide. HA has been used for various medical applications such as arthritis treatment, ocular surgery, tissue augmentation, drug delivery and tissue engineering [1]. In this work, HA has been extensively investigated as novel drug carriers for target specific and long acting delivery of protein, peptide, and nucleotide therapeutics [2].

In vivo real-time confocal microscopy for target-specific delivery of hyaluronic acid-quantum dot conjugates.
UNLABELLED Hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a biocompatible, biodegradable, and linear polysaccharide in the body, has been widely used for various biomedical applications. In this work, real-time bioimaging for target-specific delivery of HA derivatives was carried out using quantum dots (QDs). In vitro confocal microscopy of HA-QD conjugates confirmed the intracellular delivery of HA derivative...

Fluorescent nanosized carbon dots (Cdots) are an emerging bioimaging agent with excellent chemical inertness and marginal cytotoxicity in comparison to widely used semiconductor quantum dots. In this work, we report the application of Cdots for real time bioimaging of target specific delivery of hyaluronic acid (HA) derivatives. Polyethylene glycol (PEG) diamine-capped Cdots were synthesized by...
متن کاملIn Vitro Study of Hyaluronic Acid Based Scaffolds and Its Effect on Cartilage Regeneration
Recently, it has been proven that cartilage healing is difficult. The most commonly used treatments are autogenously cartilage grafting and allogeneic bone grafting, but grafts cannot fully meet treatment goals because of source, price, safety, and other concerns. Thus, a combination of biological materials and tissue engineering technology has become a recent trend in studies. Among the studie...
متن کاملComparative clinical assessment of two nasolabial hyaluronic acid fillers: A double-blind, randomized controlled trial
Background: Various fillers have been used for the correction of nasolabial folds. This study investigated the efficacy and safety assessment of two hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers on moderate nasolabial folds. Methods: This study randomized 10 volunteers, aged 35 to 49 years, with moderate nasolabial folds. Volunteers received injections of HA A and HA B gels into the right or left skin folds. Th...
متن کاملRELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN LIPOPHILIC CHARACTER AND BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF NEW POTENTIAL LONG-ACTING LOCAL ANESTHETICS
The partition coefficients (P-values) of certain new potential, stereoselective, reversible, long-acting local anesthetics have been determined in an n-octanol/ phosphate buffer system. These are derivatives of 2-phenoxyethyldialkylamine hydrochloride, and almost all of them are readily soluble in water. Their aqueous solutions have shown different absorption maxima, and these have been use...
